148) GIVE ME THE BANJO (2011) (New Movie) (Netflix Instant)

As I was telling a friend recently, banjos in general have been popping up in my life. I saw this movie while browsing on Netflix and I could not be more pleased. A lot of the movie deals with late 1890’s/early 1900’s American music and culture all through the eyes of the banjo. As a musician myself, I already knew a lot of the history in the movie, but what fascinated me the most was when the movie gets into the technique of playing the banjo.
